Checklist

You’re in! So, what’s next? This is your Admissions Checklist. These are the steps needed to enroll at Michigan Engineering.  

STEP ONE

Receive your acceptance letter (done!) Share your success on social media — there’s images for friends and family too!

STEP TWO

Register for Campus Day. This program is held January through April, and registration starts in January. In the meantime, review the admitted student website.

STEP THREE

Complete your CSS Profile and FAFSA. Students applying for Fall 2018: The CSS and FAFSA will be available on Oct. 1, 2017. The early deadline is February 15 and the final deadline is April 30.

STEP FOUR

Pay the $300 enrollment deposit, due by May 1. Payment can be made via Wolverine Access, the online center for members of the U-M community, or post marked by May 1, 2018. 

STEP FIVE

Check your scholarship status. Admitted first-year students are automatically considered for College of Engineering merit-based scholarships, and notification of awards are made before mid-April. U-M Scholarships are administered by the Office of Financial Aid and most recipients are notified by April 15.

STEP SIX

Submit your Housing/Michigan Learning Community Application, due in mid May. If you’re applying for a Michigan Learning Community, additional essays are required. Please verify the requirements for your selection. (Note: Enrollment Deposit must be paid)

STEP SEVEN

Register for Orientation. Registration slots made available in early April (Note: Enrollment Deposit must be paid)
